She is an owner surrender whose family could no longer provide the attention she needed due to a move and job change. She is a hunting dog and retrieves ducks and tracks rabbits. She is a high energy dog that will retrieve on hunts until the birds stop flying. She will break early on the first couple of retrieves of the day before settling and going on a hand signal - leave it is her drop command. She knows sit, stay, here, down and heal. She walks ok on a leash. She gets a little excited when she first comes in the house or knows she is going for a walk before she settles down. She does fine with cats and other dogs but will guard her food with dogs but not people. She eats 4 cups of food once a day in the evening. She crates fine but also does fine in the house uncrated (sleeps on couch). She is a high energy dog and needs daily exercise. She would do better with older children as she will knock down younger children and lick them to death.
