DANIEL's Story

MEET DANIEL!

Daniel is one handsome dude! He is a 6 month old Shiba Inu puppy with a curious and inquisitive nature. He loves loves loves other dogs. He has puppy energy that can at times be a bit annoying to much older dogs but responds well to dominance cues. He becomes a velcro dog overnight once he knows you are his people. He loves his foster family and just about falls asleep when you rub his face and in his ears. He is playful and silly and like his namesake, Daniel-son from 'The Karate Kid', he has the funniest little Shiba trait in which he karate kicks his playmates with his hind leg when they play. He will likely be appropriate in a home with kids, being a single dog only or a home with dogs already. He is interested in cats but his behavior with them is unclear as the one that he currently lives with in foster is a bit of a diva and doesn't give him a chance to find out. He meets strangers on his walks willingly. Like most puppies, he will require additional leash training as well as basic training but he learns quickly. As much energy as he has, he calms well when it's time to rest and is 95% housetrained. He has not been known to chew things other than toys and bones but can entertain himself for quite some time with those items. He is not a barker and rarely cries making him the worlds best camping dog and hiking companion. Daniel is ready to start a new adventure with a lucky person or family.

If interested please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org

The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy
All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop. This partnership with local trainers is essential to making our foster families' lives easier and raises each of our dogs' adoption potential. These trainers are dedicated to savin
