Daniel Boone's Story
Introducing Daniel Boone, a country boy who is ready to explore the great outdoors! Daniel came to us from a rural shelter with more dogs than adopters. With his good looks and charismatic ways, this southern gentleman charmed his way right outta there!

Daniel is about three years old and weighs 46 precious pounds! He is adjusting well in his foster home. He loves people and is getting along well with other dogs but will not be able to live with cats. He is house trained and crate training and working on his leash manners. Daniel will make some hound loving family very happy!

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
