Dana (terrier mix)'s Story
Meet Dana!

Dana is a 4-month-old Terrier mix who weighs about 14 pounds currently. She is an adorable, playful puppy with a sweet and loving personality.

Dana was rescued from a kill shelter in Orangeburg, SC, after suffering serious injuries. She had a broken pelvis and damage to her left femoral head. Unfortunately, surgery isn’t currently an option - her pelvis must heal before any procedure on her femur can be considered, which may be necessary later in life. While Dana may always walk with an unusual gait, it never slows her down. She radiates joy in everything she does.

Dana has that classic puppy energy - she loves to bounce around, chase toys, and make everyone around her smile. Her favorite toys are anything that squeaks, and she’ll happily keep herself entertained with them. She can be a little nervous at first in new situations, but she warms up almost instantly and becomes a confident, happy little pup. Dana is very social and would do wonderfully in a home with kids and other dogs who can match her playful energy and help her continue to grow and learn.

This sweet girl would thrive in a loving home that can give her plenty of playtime, affection, and patience as she continues to learn about the world. Dana is ready to bring joy, energy, and puppy love to her forever family.

Dana is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own.
