Dan's Story

Dan is a wonderfully sweet and intuitive 6-year-old boy with a heart full of love. He’s the perfect mix—always happy to join you for a walk or a game of fetch, yet just as content to nap at your feet while you work or relax. His favorite things are simple but precious: going to the beach and carrying his teddy bear around the house.
Dan’s ideal home is calm and predictable, as he experiences mild seizures about every other month, and stress can be a trigger. Because of this, he’d do best in a peaceful home without other dogs or young children, though he’s friendly with both. The seizures aren't a big deal; they just need to be monitored.
We’re heartbroken to rehome him because his person—his mom—is fighting cancer and can no longer care for him. Dan deserves a loving, tranquil home where he can thrive and share his gentle heart every day.
