Damian's Story

Handsome Damian is looking for his forever pal to chill and play with. Have you seen his ears?!?! Damian is an approximately 7-month-old Shepherd mix (with some Border Collie/herding dog - best guess). He currently weighs 39 pounds, but is expected to be between 55 and 60 pounds when full grown. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Damian is the perfect mix of being playful, friendly and enjoying chilling out with his people. He has met older children (ages 11 and up) and has done great with them as well as other dogs. He is crate trained and very close to being house trained - in just two weeks in his foster home, he is starting to sit by the back door to go outside. He is very smart (though he also has a stubborn streak) and is learning his manners. We're unsure of his past, he was a little skittish when he arrived to his foster home and may sometimes still be frightened by loud noises, however, he settled in with his foster family quickly and loves being a part of their active family life.

While he would be fine as an only dog, he has grown significantly in his confidence in just a short time by learning from his foster fur sibling and has been a great playmate - warming up quickly and taking cues for play well. Damian is a good boy who will be a great addition to any family. Apply today to meet him.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
