Dallas's Story

Now available— Dallas! A sweet, distinguished gentleman looking for his forever home! This handsome 9-year-old boy is ready to share his heart with a compassionate companion who can offer endless belly rubs, gentle words, and all the love he deserves. Dallas recently lost both his lifelong human and the only home he’s ever known, so it took him some time to adjust— but his resilience and gentle spirit shine through every day

Dallas perks right up at mealtime and does a happy little bounce when he knows his food is coming. He loves cozy spots, soft blankets, and lounging in warmth— a comfy dog bed would make him feel like royalty. He enjoys short walks and tries his best to please, though he does need gentle reminders about greeting other dogs and people. He can be a bit of a “backyard barker,” but he listens well with consistent guidance

Dallas is also looking for someone who will give him the extra care he needs to stay healthy. He’s already lost 10 pounds in his foster home (way to go, Dallas!) and will need to continue his weight-loss journey. He’ll require joint supplements and possibly ongoing medications, along with twice-yearly bloodwork. The great news is that his vet and foster mom are both optimistic— his progress so far has already made a big difference in his comfort and mobility

If you have room in your heart and home for a loyal, loving senior who just wants to be your best friend, Dallas would love to meet you. Dallas is currently being fostered in Flagstaff, AZ.
