Dakota - States Litter's Story
Dakota is really experiencing life while with his fosters! He loves to watch the fish come in (not really the boat ride).

He is also training to be Branch Manager and works with many branches to find the perfect fit.

He loves his walks and playing with other dogs and would appreciate a home with at least one dog to play with.

Kennel-training is going great! He has mastered potty-training and he does well on-leash, too!

Dakota is from the States Litter. Although only ~8 months old, he waits patiently until verbally released for meals, he gets his collar or harness on without a fuss. The Petco lady even said he sat perfectly for his nail trimming and buffing!

In the house he's given the choice to sleep where he wants and he often chooses his crate, but sometimes the floor beside his fosters' bed. Either way he sleeps all night. He never gets on furniture and is past the little puppy chewing stage. He does love a good chew treat or nylabone however. While interested in food (who isn't?), he doesn't counter surf and has a refined palate enjoying carrots, apples, strawberries, and other culinary treats.

He's always ready for a ride in the car, especially if it's taking him to the beach or his favorite trail.

He keeps his trim 40 lb physique by chasing and playing with other like-minded dogs at the dog park.

Before considering adding a dog to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory process in place which includes a home visit. More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that (and this adoption post) in their entirety - our process cannot be waived. We do not ship our animals and we do not allow for third-party transportation.

Our adoption process is outlined on our website: www.kpalrescue.org/pet-adoption/, our Adoption Application can also be found on that website. Please direct questions regarding adoption to kpaladoption@gmail.com.

KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (age-appropriately vaccinated for Parvo/Distemper & Rabies, microchipped, spayed/neutered, dewormed, etc.). There will be a fee of $350 + tax so that we can continue to help other animals in need. As always, donations are also very appreciated. Please share.

#kpalrescue
