Dakota - States Litter's Story
“Please adopt me!” Dakota

Dakota is doing great and is really ready for a home of his own. His foster has been working with him using a training collar; it's really helping with his recall! He likes to be outside, a lot. He does well in his kennel and is doing pretty good on leash. His foster has been taking him walking most nights, he loves it, he will go for miles if you let him. While interested in food (who isn't?), he doesn't counter surf and has a refined palate enjoying carrots, apples, strawberries, and other culinary treats.

He's always ready for a ride in the car, especially if it's taking him to the beach or his favorite trail.
He keeps his trim 40 lb physique by chasing and playing with other like-minded dogs at the dog park. He still likes to chase the cats a little bit, but he gets better and better. The cats will actually cuddle with him at night now. He's just turned into such a sweetheart.

Dakota does good with grooming too, including baths, brushing his teeth, and clipping & filing his nails regularly. He doesn't love it, but he is very tolerant of it. He also loves toys and bones, anything that squeaks or that he can chew on.

Dakota is from the States Litter. Mixed breed, about a year old now.

Before considering adding a dog to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory process in place which includes a home visit. More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that (and this adoption post) in their entirety - our process cannot be waived. We do not ship our animals and we do not allow for third-party transportation.

Our adoption process is outlined on our website: www.kpalrescue.org/pet-adoption/, our Adoption Application can also be found on that website. Please direct questions regarding adoption to kpaladoption@gmail.com.

KPAL Rescue dogs are vetted (age-appropriately vaccinated for Parvo/Distemper & Rabies, microchipped, spayed/neutered, dewormed, etc.). There will be a fee of $350 + tax so that we can continue to help other animals in need. As always, donations are also very appreciated. Please share.

#kpalrescue
