A bit fearful at first, she needs a patient person who will give her the time and space to build trust — but once she bonds with you, she’ll be your ride-or-die companion.<br/>Dakota is dog selective and does best with slow introductions. While she’s non-reactive in the kennel and around fence-line neighbors, she can be leash-reactive, likely due to fear, so ongoing confidence-building and training will go a long way for her. <br/>This girl has energy to spare! She’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where she can zoom around safely and play. Because of her fearfulness, we’re recommending a home with teenagers or older who understand how to respect a dog’s space and needs. She also needs to be the only dog in the home.<br/>She’s not the kind of dog who gives her heart to just anyone — but if you earn her trust, you’ll have it forever.<br/><br/>Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tick or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed.
