Dakota's Story

Meet Dakota

Dakota is a 10-week-old little miracle girl with a story as unforgettable as her adorable no-tail wiggle. She’s a tiny pup who looks like a miniature German Shepherd with hints of cattle dog… and maybe even a touch of fox in her expressive face. And those ears — truly the best big ears you’ve ever seen on such a tiny body! At just 9 pounds now, we expect she’ll grow into the perfect medium-sized companion, likely around 40 pounds.

Dakota is the lone survivor of a litter of seven puppies that were dropped off at a fire station, all suffering from parvo. She spent five days hospitalized and fought with everything she had — and she made a full recovery. This little girl is strong, resilient, and already so full of life.

Personality-wise, Dakota is an absolute sweetheart. She showers everyone she meets with kisses, wiggles her whole body when she’s happy, and has a goofy, lovable energy that makes her such a joy to be around. She can be a bit of a silly little spaz in the best way, always ready to play or explore. Dakota is on the higher-energy side, so she’ll thrive with an active owner who wants a true adventure buddy.

She is wonderful with people, dogs, kids, and even cats. Dakota is ready for a forever home that will embrace her enthusiasm, her joy, her giant ears, and her incredible survivor spirit.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, resilient pup with tons of personality, Dakota might just be your perfect match.

Please APPLY on theruffproject.com if you're interest in adopting Dakota!
