While enjoying a quiet Saturday morning, a<br/> volunteer called requesting help with a dog<br/>lying in a ditch on the side of Steve Tate Highway.<br/>Plans for the day took a backseat to helping this<br/>sweet pup who had been most likely hit by a car.<br/>BCAR volunteers were able to load him on a gurney<br/>that had been recently donated by a Big Canoe<br/>Resident! How timely was that? A visit to our vet<br/>confirmed that he suffered a badly broken hip.<br/>He has now had surgery on his hip, and other<br/>vetting. He is walking well, and available for<br/>adoption. His sweetness and optimism has not<br/>wavered through all he has been through. He<br/>enjoys slow walks, sniffing, car rides, and hanging<br/>out with people. Dakota reminds us again about<br/>the amazing resilience of dogs!
