Dakota's Story
This one year old miniature female Eskie from New York state is going through a rough period. Her owner called our Massachusetts rescue worker yesterday, saying that with ten children, she didn't have time for Dakota. But then she revealed the urgency of the situation...Dakota had been hit by a car the day before. The owner was unwilling or unable to pay the emergency vet. Dakota was delivered, still bleeding, to a very shocked Denise.

Now Dakota is safely in the hands of our New Jersey foster mom, Diane, (and her vet). The vet has just reported an excellent prognosis for Dakota. She should make a full recovery from a very nasty gash on one leg and a dislocated joint in the other. Through her whole ordeal Dakota has remainded an amazingly sweet little girl, making friends at the vet clinic.

Diane will be overseeing Dakota's recovery for the next couple of weeks, but this sweet little girl will be available soon to a new family who can give her the loving new home she deserves.
