Dakota's Story

DAKOTA

I’ve been calling him Kota - this big handsome boy had an awful start to his life, being dumped at a truck stop with two other dogs.

He is around 9 months old and about 30lbs. Not sure what breed he is, maybe some shepherd or husky is my guess! He is neutered, microchipped and UTD on everything.

He absolutely loves the other dog in his foster home, and she thinks it’s really important for him to have another dog in his forever home! He seems much more comfortable with the other dogs around. He loves to play, with the dogs and with toys! He loves all kinds of toys, but loves to steal stuffies!!

He has been sleeping on the bed with everyone! I’ve brought him for car rides, which he is getting more used to and will now sit up and look out the windows. He is such a sweet boy, always giving kisses and is very curious!! He’s been going out on a leash and also hooked on a run. He LOVES to run!!

I’m thinking maybe a home without cats would be best, as he has really been chasing and barking at them.

He has had a few accidents inside which is to be expected, but when he is outside he always goes potty. He gets pretty nervous when trying to clip the leash/run on or take it off but we’re working on that! He hasn’t shown any signs of of food aggression, or any aggression at all even when he is chasing the cats. He loves to snuggle, and really just wants to be where his people are, and especially where his dog friends are!

He is such a sweetheart, and is going to make someone a fantastic friend. He is so deserving of his forever home!!!! He listens pretty good, and he is very smart!

If interested in adopting Dakota, please copy and paste the link below into another browser to fill out the attached form! https://airtable.com/appoLNftywQj1hJIo/shr8YVMR6PuufufP1

Located in Brooks ME!
