Dakota loves attention and is extremely smart. He is good with people and other dogs. He rides well in a car and walks well on a leash. Dakota is treat and praise motivated and knows the following commands: Lets Go, Wait, Sit, Down, Off, Leave It, Watch, and Touch. He is young and energetic, so a home with an active family or owner who will take him on runs/walks/hikes would be ideal. Dakota calms downs and enjoys his down time once he has had some exercise and just wants you to pet and spend time with him. Dakota has a high jump and can climb a fence so he needs to be leashed and supervised when in the yard. His favorite things to do include walks, car rides, playing (he loves tennis balls, kongs and rope toys) and chilling out on his bed and blanket. ADOPTION PROCESS AND POLOCIES: The first step in adoption process is to fill out an application and arrange a meet and greet with the adoptable to see if it is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. If a perfect match is found we will then do a background check and a home visit will be performed. An adoption contract will need to be signed, along with an adoption fee.
