Daisy Mae's Story

This beautiful, angelic girl is Daisy Mae - a terrier mix who is a true survivor. She's been through so much, but remains happy, fun-loving, and affectionate despite what life has thrown at her.

Daisy Mae lived most of her life in a pen and was left neglected with another dog - the victim of living a life with a person who never should have had dogs to begin with. To make matters worse, when she did get out of the small pen, she was hit by a car and received serious injuries to her hip and leg. Of course, she was not treated for these painful injuries and was left to suffer. Well, we didn't hesitate to welcome her to AHF. We took care of her injuries. She had surgery to help with the leg injury, and she's ready for her happily ever after.

Daisy Mae is energetic and playful, and loves to get her zoomies out in the yard, so we feel a home with a fenced-in yard would be a perfect fit for her. So about this bundle of love....She is dog and people friendly, house trained, enjoys playing with her toys, and loves to snuggle up to her human family and give hugs
and kisses. She's treat-motivated, which is a plus for training. She is crate trained, and naps hard - this gal loves her afternoon siestas.

Daisy is smart and knows some commands, but she'll need help learning to walk on a leash, so obedience training is recommended.

Adoption fee is $360
Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.org

Almost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:
(1) Be at least 21 years of age;
(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;
(3) Have approval from the residence owner;
(4) Have valid ID with current address;
(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and
`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)
*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***
