Meet Daisy June!

Daisy June wandered up to a home a few weeks ago looking for help. The sweet family who lives there knew they couldn't turn her away and worried for her safety and well-being outside exposed to the elements with no one to care for her. They contacted RARE and offered to foster her until she found her forever home! They say that Daisy June has such a joyful spirit. When they come out to the yard she literally jumps and smiles.  She loves to play and gets plain silly sometimes. She LOVES to play fetch! A ball, a stick, or a toy will get her excited and when she fetches it she likes to play keep away. She is very well-mannered. She always sits when they put a collar/leash/harness on her to go for walks and she sits and stays really well. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but has yet to be tested around cats. She has seen them outside and is totally disinterested, but we can arrange an assessment with cats to see her compatibility with them!

Daisy June is a gorgeous girl! Her sleek, black coat shines in the sunshine. She has a white patch on her chest and beautiful brown eyes. BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
