She will need a foster or adopter commitment to secure her spot on transport. <br/><br/>Meet Daisy <br/><br/>Daisy is an approximately 5-month-old puppy weighing about 30 lbs. She is one of three female siblings who were dumped on an elderly couple and kept outdoors until the cold winter storm in January. The couple was going to take them to the vet to be euthanized, but our rescue partners stepped in just in time to bring the girls to safety. <br/><br/>Now inside a foster home, Daisy is thriving. She is very smart and eager to learn, already knows sit, walks well on leash for a puppy, and is doing great with potty training using puppy pads and learning to go outside. <br/><br/>Daisy is a sweet, affectionate puppy who will do well in a home ready to continue her training and give her the love she deserves. <br/><br/>Age: Approximately 5 months <br/>Gender: Female <br/>Weight: Approximately 30 lbs <br/>Breed: Lab/Shepherd mix (best guess) <br/>Spay/Neuter: not yet <br/>Crate Trained: Working on it <br/>Potty Trained: In progress <br/>Leash Manners: Good for a puppy <br/>Good with Dogs: Yes <br/>Good with Cats: Not tested yet <br/>Good with Kids: Yes <br/><br/>If you can foster or adopt Daisy and help her make the Saturday, 2/14/26 transport, please apply today: <br/>www.muttlife.org<br/><br/><br/><br/>__________<br/><br/>Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. <br/>__________<br/><br/>Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!<br/><br/>https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies<br/>_________<br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/>1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.<br/><br/>2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.<br/><br/>3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.<br/><br/>4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.<br/><br/>5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.<br/><br/>6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.<br/><br/>**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
