Daisy's Story

Meet Daisy — Your Next Hiking Buddy and Loyal Companion!

Daisy is a petite 8.5-year-old spayed Shepherd mix with a sweet personality, a love for adventure, and so much love left to give! After spending most of her life with one family, Daisy is looking for a new home due to a change in her family’s life circumstances. Her family is moving south to a place where dogs aren’t allowed, so they sadly cannot take her along. Now, Daisy is hoping to find a loving family to help her start her next chapter.

Don’t let her age fool you — Daisy still has plenty of energy and is always up for an adventure! She would make a GREAT hiking buddy and loves going for car rides. She’s comfortable around men, women, and children, although her enthusiasm and energy may be a bit much for smaller children, as she could accidentally knock them over.

Daisy is housebroken, crate trained, and comfortable sleeping peacefully in her crate on her own. She’s treat-motivated and eager to learn, making her a fun companion for someone who enjoys working with their dog and keeping them engaged.

On walks, Daisy does best when you keep a brisk pace, though she can pull on the leash, especially when a squirrel or chipmunk catches her eye! She has a high prey drive and plenty of energy, so an active home that can provide exercise, adventure, and enrichment would be ideal. She isn’t bothered by distant gunshots and is comfortable around cars, making her a great companion for outdoor outings.

Daisy may be able to share her home with another dog with a proper, thoughtful introduction. Her experience with cats is unknown, but given her prey drive, a home without cats would likely be the best fit.

Daisy is looking for a family who will love her for who she is: a sweet, spirited, adventure-loving girl who deserves a safe, happy home for the next chapter of her life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to join you on hikes, ride along on road trips, and keep you company through life’s adventures, Daisy could be the girl for you!

Could you be the fresh start Daisy deserves?

She is currently being fostered in Brattleboro, VT.

Foster to adopt can be a consideration but we're trying to avoid her being shuffled around a lot. She's already a bit traumatized from losing the only family she's known for her entire 9 years of life.

Please fill out our application and once we review it we will follow up with you, we do our best to respond in 2-3 days.

Application: https://airtable.com/appV5pXp3DhFrF6ih/shrx6XhGytB9TIrE6

email with questions: pawsitiveconnection2023@gmail.com

Text (preferred)/call: 802-382-0081
