Daisy's Story
My name is Daisy, and I’m a chocolate lab mix, a bouncy, squirrel-obsessed two-year-old weighing in at a respectable 45 pounds. Life before Love of Labs was a blur of hunger and confusion. Three long months in the shelter felt like forever. But now? Now, things are different.

I'm so happy in my foster home. They figured out I needed a fenced yard – crucial for chasing those pesky squirrels and the occasional daring bird. She also knew I needed a job. I’m a smart girl, and boredom leads to shredded toys and, embarrassingly, a little digging in the flowerbeds.

Dinner used to be a stressful event. I'd gulp down my food, guarding it like a treasure. But I'm working on it and learning that food is love. But tug-of-war with my toys? Bring it on! I’m all about sharing the fun.

My favorite time of day is fetch. I'm like a furry missile, retrieving the ball every time and dropping it neatly at your feet. Then, after all the energy is spent, I transform into a cuddle bug. I love burrowing into blankets and resting my head on your lap, especially when she’s rocking the little human, a seven-month-old called… well, I don't know, but he's soft and smells nice! He pats me, and I just lay there lapping up the love. Big bonus!

Speaking of 'sit', 'here', and 'down'...they are mastered, and we're working on 'wait'. I'm told I'm a good girl. My crate is my safe space – I even go in there sometimes just to chill. My foster thinks I would be good at agility training or something even more challenging. I think I'd be great at that, too. I'm thriving on the routine, the love, and the endless possibilities. Life is good. Woof!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
