Meet Daisy - adopted!

Prancing around the house with her stuffed toys. Boldly exploring the world outside. Happily chewing on a bully stick to relax. PEOPLE! These are a few of Daisy’s favorite things. She is an adorable(!) herding medley of Australian Cattle Dog, probably Border Collie and Australian Shepherd too. Born in early Feb 2024, currently 10#. Daisy is 100% ready to find her very own place in the world.

Daisy is a busy puppy without being over the top. She will thrive with regular daily exercise and something to keep her mind busy, which could be patrolling the yard for critter invasion, learning manners or tricks. She’s a go with the flow pup and happily jumps into whatever her family is doing. Continued great socialization is key to ensure she is a go-anywhere adult dog.

Families with herding breed experience are preferred for this cutie. They should spend a lot of time with her – her core desire is to be with her humans. A fenced yard to play in would be ideal; families experienced keeping pups safe on leash will also be considered. She plays with her foster canine sibling and easily keeps herself entertained – could be a solo pup or have a sibling. She thinks kitties are fun to chase if they run and is learning they prefer to be left alone.

Daisy is a heeler, and will nip at heels of children, other dogs and adults. Gentle redirection and positive reinforcement will fade this behavior. Best in a home with older kids who consistently provide guidance. Potty training, leash skills and basic obedience are all a work in progress. At her age, she needs frequent bathroom breaks if her people work out of the home. She’s proving to be a doggie Einstein and can’t wait to show off her smarts in obedience classes.

Her foster family says: “Daisy is loving, adventurous and practically learns new things so quickly! An all-around wonderful girl that is going to be that heart dog we all long for!”

Daisy is being fostered in Hugo, MN.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Daisy's adoption fee is $500 + MN sales tax. She is microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She will be spayed at approximately 5-6 months at one of the clinics we work with. The cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee.
