DAISY's Story
Daisy unexpectedly lost her owner and when we learned of her terribly sad story, we sent a volunteer to go pick her up and bring her to Dogtree Pines. Daisy is a 8-year-old female lab mix that was originally rescued from a shelter in Chicago. With Daisy being in a loving home for many years, she just did not deserve to go back to a shelter. Daisy is fitting right in, and the others are showing her the ropes. Daisy is a big strong girl who doesn't realize it. When we went to pick her up, she immediately jumped in my car and joined my pup in the back seat. She loved the car ride and took her place at the back seat window. She is loving, active and friendly with the volunteers and the residents. Daisy really is too young to spend her days at DTP. Daisy, the lab, is eager to please. She would do best with a family of her own - be that a retired couple, single adult or a home full of kids.
