Daisy's Story

She's quite the little special dog...you'll love her.
5-year-old female Chihuahua, only at 7 pounds Daisy is a little spitfire. Daisy is a sweet, loving girl and will make a wonderful companion. Daisy was an owner surrender as the owner had to work long shifts and crate her. She ended up with a kidney stone. She is being treated for this and needs to be let out every 2-3 hours while this is being resolved. She can go 8 hours at night but after that she can leak a little urine. She cannot be crated. She sleeps right next to her foster mom and will let her know when she needs to go out. She does very well with humans but can be territorial over HER human. She fully and completely falls in love and is loyal to a fault. She adores being with you and can always be found snuggled right next to you. She startles easily and so a quiet home would be best for her. She barks when people enter the home and she is selective with people she will let pet her. She needs time to get to know them and feel comfortable. She adores small dogs and loves to play. A small companion would be ideal for her as another dog gives her confidence. She has done great with her kitty sister but it has taken her some time not to chase after her. She is aggressive towards big dogs that come near her or her people. Sometimes walking on a leash comes to a complete stop but she does great with a fenced yard, as she loves to explore and zoom around in circles. She does show separation anxiety and would do best with someone home most of the time or if she can go with you. She rides well in the car and will sit quietly while you are about your business. Daisy loves mealtimes and will constantly scour the floors for dropped morsels.

Daisy is really worth the extra care she needs right now as she will repay you with her unconditional love for the rest of her life.
