Daisy's Story
Daisy is a 40lb, 5-year-old dog looking for an extra special home! This expressive gal is the perfect size for an outdoor buddy, which pairs well with her energetic personality--going for runs and playing fetch are among her favorite hobbies. Daisy loves to be with her person, so she'd likely do best in a home where someone is home often or can take her out and about with them.

Daisy has been diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), a condition where the pancreas no longer produces enough enzymes to properly digest food. While this condition cannot be cured, it can be managed by adding pancreatic enzymes to food at every meal. Most dogs do very well with enzyme supplementation and a consistent diet, but lifelong management is needed. Daisy's new family will continue to receive medical support for this condition through the SacSPCA at no cost; this includes yearly exams and refills on the enzyme powder. Routine care such as vaccines and preventatives, injury, or other illness will be the adopter's responsibility through their regular veterinarian.

Daisy is lovingly sponsored by Incredible Pets!

I lived with dogs in my previous home, and I may do well with a slow introduction.
I find cats a little too interesting, so I would do best in a home with no cats.
I lived with older children in my previous home and may do well with your children.

I lived with dogs in my previous home, and I may do well with a slow introduction.
I find cats a little too interesting, so I would do best in a home with no cats.
I lived with older children in my previous home and may do well with your children.
