Daisy's Story

Meet Daisy 🌼

The day before she was due to lose her life, she was handed to us with these words "she's not a great dog." They were wrong.

This sweet girl was hours away from losing everything when her people swooped in and gave her a second chance — and she hasn't stopped saying thank you since. Daisy is proof that sometimes the dogs who need the most grace give back the most love.

Daisy is a gentle, lower-energy sweetheart who thinks the best place in the world is right next to you — preferably with her nose approximately one inch from your face. She will somehow manage to take up the entire bed despite her size, and she will do it with zero apologies and maximum cuteness. Couch potato? Absolutely. Professional cuddler? Without question.

She's a calm, steady girl who does well riding in the car, handles her medicated baths like a total champ (ten whole minutes of shampoo soaking and barely a complaint!), and will happily trot to the fence to greet strangers with a wagging tail. She's been working on her leash manners and is already showing she's a natural.

Daisy does best when she can eat her meals in her own space — she's a girl who takes her dinner seriously — and she's still learning the ropes of potty training, so a patient home is a must. She can be a little shy or skittish at first, but once she trusts you? She is all in.

She gets along with other dogs and is pretty unbothered by cats (honestly, she's decided they're not worth the effort 😄). She mostly just wants to find her person, curl up close, and spend her days being loved the way she always deserved.
Daisy isn't looking for much. Just a soft place to land, a gentle hand to lean into, and someone who will let her hog the bed.

She's ready to be someone's whole heart. Is that someone you?

*29lbs, approximately 7 years old
*Spayed, UTD on vaccines
*microchipped, fecal tested
*Great with dogs, kids and cats
*velcro hippo

Apply here:
https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
