Daisy's Story
It’s impossible to look into her eyes and not fall in love! If you want a cuddly, affectionate, and RESILIENT tripod dog, look no further because you’ve found what you’re looking for! Dolly, now known as Daisy, is a 3 year old mama in her “hot girl healed” era. She was found abandoned in her previous home after owner eviction with a paw missing. After her foster family brought her home from the shelter, she spent the summer healing from a much needed full back-leg amputation and heartworm treatment. She has successfully finished heartworm treatment and is fully healed from her amputation surgery! Go Daisy! But don’t let the missing leg fool you… whether it’s racing up the stairs or jumping off the bed, she has no mobility restrictions. Although carpet and rugs make getting around a lot easier, she’s good at adjusting to her surroundings. Despite everything she has gone through, she is still the most loving and gentle dog. To say she is a lover girl is an understatement. If she’s not napping or playing with her toys, you can find her cuddled up on the couch next to the people she loves. She’ll never stray too far from your side because she’s fully deaf and likes to keep an eye on you to make sure you’re still there. And everyone knows that pitties are solar powered! She loves laying out in the sun. Daisy loves her foster brother since he’s calm and independent. Daisy would thrive in a home with an older, calm companion dog or even a single dog household. Because she’s deaf, younger kids startle her due to their unpredictability and she would do best in a home with older kids (10 and up). After her years of suffering at the hands of humans, she’s eager to find her forever family. If you’re looking for a companion that will offer unconditional love, then you just might be the lucky family that gets to love her through the years to come.

Could Daisy be the three-legged lovebug that your home is missing? Daisy's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
