Daisy's Story

Daisy is a soft, sweet, and quietly charming young pup with a gentle spirit and so much love to give. She has a dainty presence and an affectionate nature that makes people fall for her quickly. Daisy is the kind of dog who will blossom beautifully in the right home-one that offers guidance, companionship, and a little encouragement as she grows into herself.

HISTORY
Daisy's DOB is listed as 01/17/2026. She was originally adopted from a local shelter by a young couple, but less than a week later, an unexpected emergency required them to travel, and they made the difficult decision to surrender her to us.

Daisy is now safe in foster care in Tri-Cities, Eastern Washington, where she's getting the stability she deserves. We share our dogs in other locations to give them the best chance at finding the right home. Daisy is absolutely worth the trip, and we encourage meet-and-greets for approved adopters.

She is listed as a pitbull/lab mix, though she presents more like a lab/collie blend in both looks and demeanor, but as always, breed is our best guess.

SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING
Daisy is a gentle, easygoing puppy who is taking in the world with a soft curiosity. She can be a little on the sensitive side, but in the best way-she's thoughtful, observant, and bonds deeply with her people.

She is dog, cat, and kid friendly, and would truly thrive in a home with another confident, well-adjusted dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. She looks to other dogs for cues and enjoys their companionship.

Daisy would do best in an active home that will continue to expose her to new experiences in a positive, supportive way. Walks, playtime, and light training will all help her continue to come out of her shell and grow into a confident adult.

She is currently working on both crate training and potty training, and is making great progress with consistency and routine. Like any puppy, she will need continued guidance to fully solidify these skills in her new home.

Daisy is still very young and would greatly benefit from puppy classes. These will help her build confidence, learn basic manners, and strengthen her bond with her new family in a structured environment.

It's important to remember: Daisy is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need patience, structure, and understanding as she grows.

She may have accidents, get into things she shouldn't, or need reassurance in new situations-that's all part of puppyhood. Please do not apply to adopt Daisy unless you are ready to invest the time and care it takes to help her become a confident, well-adjusted adult dog.

HEALTH STATUS

General info
Daisy is spayed, up to date on her puppy vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. She appears to be a healthy young puppy and is continuing to grow.

ADOPTION
The adoption fee for Daisy is $425. Our process starts with an online application and may take a few days to a week to complete. We appreciate your patience while we do our part.

To apply to adopt Daisy, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA-A-117 or email HearthfireART@gmail.com to request an adoption application form.

HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. To respect our fosters' privacy, we make our dogs available to meet adopters only after an adoption has been approved.

HART (Hearthfire Animal Rescue Team)'s Adoption Policy
All our pets are in private foster homes. HART does not have a facility. For this reason, we introduce pets to potential adopters only after the adoption application has been approved. Our process involves: # A detailed application form, which must be submitted electronically # An online background check # Reference checks (calls to your vet, landlord, and at least two personal references) # Interviews with all the adults in the home (and, if the pet is intended primarily as a child's companion, we talk with the child) # A home visit, conducted at our discretion by a member of HART or a trusted rescue colleague Most of our pets are located in the Tri-Cities (Kennewick/Richland/Pasco) in Eastern Washington, and we place pets only in homes within the Pacific Northwest. As needed we may arrange for a trusted member of our team to transport a pet to an adopter, at the adopter's expense. We do not ever release pets to a third party for transportation; we personally introduce every pet to their adopter. HART is a registered 501(c)3 charity. We depend on adoption fees and donations to continue serving our community. We do not have an office or facility, and our team is made up only of volunteers. Our entire income goes to helping animals.
