Daisy!'s Story

Daisy is a darling little medium energy chihuahua mix puppy. She was born around 5/10/2025 and is currently 14 lbs.
Daisy is an affectionate, playful, happy little dog. She is smart, sensitive and responds well to training. She is a loyal companion and is somewhat of a Velcro dog. She is active during the day and is a lap/couch dog in the evening. She can be shy/timid when meeting new people but has shown she can warm up with slow, gentle introductions and treats.
Daisy likes to romp around in the house and yard playing chase and wrestling with her dog buddies. She loves her stuffed toys and chewing on bully sticks and other chewy bones. She enjoys walks and hiking. She loves being with her people and will happily follow them around the house and yard for most of the day. She desires to be a large part of her family’s life and wants to be included in daily activities.
Daisy is crate trained but does not love her crate and prefers to be with her family. She is doing well with potty training in her foster home. She is learning to walk politely on a leash and is enjoying walks and hiking. She currently lives with dogs of various sizes and definitely prefers smaller dogs; large dogs have a tendency to intimidate her. She also lives with dog savvy cats and is respectful and friendly with them. Young children would likely overwhelm her so only dog savvy, respectful kids over 12 are recommended. She is an alert barker and loves a yard so no apartments for her. She would not be happy being left home alone daily for long hours.
Daisy would do well in a home with a yard and another young, small, friendly dog to pal around with, help show her the ropes and keep her company while her humans are away from home. She might do well as an only dog with a stay at home active person. Someone who has the time, patience and willingness to continue her training and socialization would be ideal.
Daisy is a delightful, endearing, fun little dog who is a joy to be around. She is patiently waiting for her forever home.

Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
