Daisy 's Story

We are specifically looking for a FOSTER-TO-ADOPT home.
Serious foster-to-adopt inquiries only.

Contact Carolyn 916-768-7737

Daisy is a classic big yellow 1-2 year old female Labrador Retriever probably from American hunting lines. Don’t let this gorgeous girl’s size fool you… at nearly 80 pounds and still growing she is definitely more puppy than adult! Daisy is enthusiastic and funny as she learns to walk nicely on-leash, do structured retrieves, and play with squeaky toys. She is well started on obedience and knows wait, break, heel, come, leave-it, down and sit. She’s happiest when she’s close to her people, and is friendly with other dogs, also great with kids. She loves water in all its forms from running around in sprinklers, playing with hose, and swimming beautifully in pool, lake or ocean.

Daisy still has some typical puppy behaviors that she is working on such as mouthiness and some attraction to flip flops… she is well along in impulse control and has learned nose touch instead of using mouth, also leave it. She has good house manners, is solid on potty training, and will thrive in an experienced dog home that can confidently maintain structure, boundaries, and continued training. She sleeps in crate at night and has been left outside for 2-3 hours.

Daisy still needs to be spayed, and we want to avoid moving her multiple times, as transitions can be hard on pups. She is ready to go to Foster to Adopt and will be able to have her surgery once her next placement is set.

Located in Sacramento, CA
