Daisy's Story

Daisy, now a thriving, beautiful, shiny-coated, and happy dog, has lived a life that no animal deserves. Before her rescue, Daisy had been starved and used as a puppy factory, confined to a life devoid of love, kindness, or much interaction.
Despite her painful past, Daisy’s spirit was not broken.

After receiving the care and time to heal that she desperately needed, Daisy emerged with the renewed energy and enthusiasm of an adolescent dog, a remarkable testament to her resilience and hope.

Daisy now displays a vibrancy and zest for life. She’s finally getting to live out loud, so to speak. Her new adopters had welcomed this 6- to 7-year-old to their home with two senior dogs, but Daisy’s youthful exuberance proved a bit overwhelming for her older, more sedentary companions. Her adopters never thought of Daisy’s renewed enthusiasm for life as a flaw—simply that it was Daisy’s way of embracing the joy she was once denied.

We are helping Daisy, who is now looking for a new foster or adopter who will welcome her playful energy and understand the patience and structure required to help her settle into a routine.

The Arrow Fund is working to help Daisy be successful in a new home, and enrolled her in Top Dog Training, Kentucky with our friend John Imler. There, he can help Daisy channel her energy into playtime and help her learn more of what she needs to be the best dog.

Trainer John has already reported that Daisy does well in a crate and is a good dog. She’s working hard, playing with his dogs, learning rapidly, and eager to please—she simply never had the chance in her previous life to learn basic commands.

Daisy needs her Arrow Fund family once more so we can ensure her success as a beloved pet! ??

Would you consider fostering or adopting Daisy with patience and love to help her continue learning?

To foster or adopt Daisy, please fill out:
https://thearrowfund.org/get-involved/foster-application
https://thearrowfund.org/our-animals/adoption-application/

After reviewing your application, and calling references, we schedule a home visit and meet and greet with the animal. All of our animals are in foster homes, so we do not have a shelter to visit.
