Daisy's Story

Daisy – the sweetest angel
A Doodly dog in a sheep’s body
Female spayed
Age 8 to 10
Weight 64 pounds and counting (down)
Daisy was found roaming the streets all alone just walking around looking quite a bit like Eeyore. Ugh…it broke even the animal control officer’s heart to see this. She was so sweet but sad and a bit depressed we thought. She had some medical needs but we took care of all of those right away.We don’t know that her name IS Daisy. The shelter staff named her Cha Cha. We like to name fluffy and cuddly” sheepy” like dogs “Daisy”.This dog is so gentle and kind and thankful that we have to think that she had a loving home and that something happened to her and she lost that home. We are grateful that the shelter asked us to take her in and give her a real chance to find that happiness and joy once again. She is pretty quiet and easy going and doubt she would have an issue with a cat but we don’t know that for certain. It took her awhile, but she has adjusted to her foster home and is friends with all of the dogs there. She wags her tail when you speak to her or she sees a dog walk by. She is eating high quality food and getting a lot of exercise. She is comfortable riding in the car and silent and motionless. She just sits looking out the window. She is fairly young so losing another 10 or 15 pounds might really bring out a more energetic side to her. Getting in the car is tough so she needs a lift or a ramp but we hope that with continued diet and exercise that she will be able to jump up.Daisy has the eyes of an Australian Shepherd and there are some things about her that make us believe she is part Aussie. She has the coloring of a cocker spaniel and the hair of a doodle. Honestly, she could be a poodle mix, a doodle mixed with Aussie. But whatever it is, it’s 100% sweet and adorable. We just call her a little sheep. She is fostered in Kirkland WA. email Sandra for application.
