Daisy's Story

Daisy
5.5 years old

Female, spayed
Maltese/poodle mix
Daisy is a loving, affectionate, and playful girl with so many wonderful qualities. She wags her tail often and gets very excited about meeting new people. After she gets a good sniff, she’ll happily stand on her hind legs and bring her front paws up to greet you. She walks nicely on a leash and truly enjoys spending time with her humans.

Daisy knows several commands, including wait, come, go, hop, leave it, no, down, and drop. She is fully housetrained and has good recall. She’s an active girl who is used to about an hour of exercise or playtime each day. This can include zoomies in a yard or park, a nice leisurely walk, or a fun game of fetch indoors. Daisy absolutely loves dog parks where she can run and play, and she’s amazing at fetch and jumping over obstacles. When she’s not playing, she enjoys chewing on her toys or spending quality time with her people.

With all these great qualities, Daisy does have one challenge. When she is awake and playful, she is incredibly friendly and loving. However, she can be anxious if startled while tired, napping, or sleeping. In those moments, she may growl or snap as a warning. She has never bitten anyone. Her family simply needs to be mindful of her cues and give her space when she is resting.

Daisy was surrendered due to her reaction to a baby in the home. Because of this, she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home without children. Although she gets along with other dogs, she would thrive as the only pet in the home where she can feel secure and relaxed. Daisy has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion in the right calm and understanding home.

ADOPTION FEE: $550

If you are interested in adoption, instead of emailing PARS, please download the Application form at:
www.peelanimalrescuesociety.com/adopt-a-dog
Fill the form and email to:
info@peelanimalrescuesociety.com
