Daisy's Story

Meet our lovely girl, Daisy!
She was rescued back in September of 2025, meaning she has been in our care for over 5 months! When she came to us, we found her emaciated and she tested positive for Heartworm Disease. While we don't know anything about Daisy's past, we can certainly tell you about her time at our shelter. We know that she is fully potty trained, that she loves playing with her squeaky toys, and above all, she LOVES food!
While her Heartworm diagnosis means she can't really play or run around like other dogs, this is not a permanent lifestyle for her. Daisy is ALMOST FINISHED with her treatment, and as soon as her dog-tor says she is healthy and heartworm-free, she can go run around on the beach or join a running club with her friends! Daisy would love a family who spends a lot of time in the sunshine, she is great at entertaining herself but loves having her human friends close by. Daisy will change your life if you give her the chance, she has so much love to give to her fur-ever family she can hardly wait!
This dog is a part of the Dolly's Dream Program, meaning she can go home with some goodies to help her settle in. Check it out on our website www.humanesocietytampa.org/dollysdream/
