Dahlia's Story
Dahlia is about 5 months old and 20 lbs, and she is just the nicest little puppy.
She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but it only takes her a few seconds to warm up. Once she does, she loves attention and being with her people. She's also very smart! Within 24 hours, she learned to ring a bell when she needs to go outside. While she is housetrained, she is still a puppy and her new family should expect the occasional puppy moment.

Dahlia is good with other neutral dogs and dog-savvy cats, and she loves children! She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.

Dahlia came to us with fractures in both of her back legs that were already in different stages of healing. The good news is that she does not need any immediate intervention, and she loves to run and play!

There is a possibility that Dahlia will need surgical intervention on one of her legs later in life, and this is something her forever family should be prepared to take on if needed. Upon request, we are happy to send Dahlia's X-rays to the vet of any potential forever family who is considering taking her home. It's important to have a good patient-veterinary relationship and know what Dahlia's past may mean for her in the long run.

Despite everything she's been through, Dahlia is very easygoing and a super fun puppy! She is looking for a family who is ready for all of the normal puppy stuff and who understands that we're still learning what her previous injuries may mean for her long-term.
