Meet Dahlia
PLEASE READ BIO CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING!!!
Meet our senior girl Dahlia! Named after and spelled exactly like the flower and pronounced doll-ya, this 12 year old sassy girl is one of a kind. The perfect home for Dahlia consists of a very quiet kid-less home. No other dogs, or very old laid back dogs who no longer play with toys. Dallia has been with us for 8 ½ months and her toy aggression has not gotten any better. Any time a dog tries to run around or play with a toy, Dahlia hops off the couch and attacks them. If children or people are running around the house laughing, screaming, etc. she gets very stressed and hops off the couch and attacks. Dahlia has no teeth, so sure there’s no consequences for us. However, we are worried about another dog getting fed up and reacting and hurting her. Dahlia lived with the same people for 11 ½ years just to be dumped at a shelter by the rest of the family once her owner died. As a result, she has extreme separation anxiety and is incredibly attached to her foster mom. Dahlia also does poorly in the car so she is not going to make a great travel buddy. Yes, Dahlia is adorable, but she’s also a very special and unique girl who requires a unicorn of a home. Local adoptions only.
An adoption fee of $250 includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventatives if appropriate, and all medical costs while in our care.
