Dahlia's Story

Meet Dahlia,

The perfect blend of a stunning, sharp working-breed and a snuggly bully mix. She’s a special gal. From being found on the streets of Downey to thriving in her foster home in LA. She’s 60lbs and fixed. Dog friendly and neutral. Crate and potty trained.

Some stuff to know:

Dahlia is very sweet and can be social, right now she has a pittie foster sister, but she does love her space and some alone time. She enjoys her breaks in her crate, where she can decompress and have some time to herself. She doesn’t like cats, and that’s okay. She would best fit with a calm dog (medium to big) or as a solo dog, where she can soak up all the love.

Dahlia’s happy place is outdoors and would thrive in a house that has a secure backyard where she can run, play, and explore. Rain or shine. She is medium energy, but a few hours in the yard is all she needs, and then she’s ready to lounge and get her snuggles in. She’s very smart and, although she is very chill and easy going, she thrives with a routine and structure.

Dahlia is very smart and loves to learn. She’s stellar with her commands, including “sit”, “down”, “place & stay”, and “go home” (for her crate).

Dahlia is still working on her leash manners. She’s not reactive or aggressive, instead she loves being outside and wants to explore every corner, tree, and bush she comes across. She can be strong, so she will need an experienced leash handler. But with some treats and a few routine routes, Dahlia can walk on a leash just fine. Also, Dahlia loves to run, so if you’re a runner, that's a plus!

Dahlia does have a shy side and sometimes might need to be eased into new experiences. But she’s also very brave, and as soon as she experiences something once, she bravely overcomes her fear as if there was never any issue.

Dahlia is such a special, loving dog who has not had an easy life. She’s ready for her forever home and will make a great companion for the right adopter.

Into the Wild Farm's Adoption Policy
Adoption Policies At Into the Wild Farm, the well-being of our animals and the success of each adoption are our highest priorities. Our adoption policies are designed to ensure that every animal is placed in a safe, loving, and permanent home. 1. Application & Screening • All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. • Applications are carefully reviewed, and references or home checks may be required depending on the animal. 2. Meet & Greet • Approved applicants are invited to meet the animal(s) they are interested in adopting. • This step ensures compatibility between the animal, the adopter, and any existing pets. 3. Medical Care • All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption, unless too young or medically exempt (in which case adopters sign an agreement to complete sterilization once appropriate). • Each animal receives a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and any necessary treatments before adoption. 4. Adoption Agreement • Adopters sign a legally binding contract outlining responsibilities for care, medical treatment, and a commitment to return the animal to Into the Wild Farm if they can no longer provide a home. • Adopters agree that animals may not be used for breeding, fighting, or other harmful purposes. 5. Adoption Fees • A standard adoption fee helps cover veterinary and care costs. • Fees may vary depending on the animal’s age, medical needs, or species. 6. Post-Adoption Support • Our team provides ongoing support and resources to help adopters with training, medical guidance, and transition needs. • Follow-ups may be conducted to ensure the animal is adjusting well
