Curly-Holt (aka Max)'s Story

Curly-Holt (aka Max) is 15 pounds of pure joy. He’s loving, adventurous, a little shy at first, and wonderfully goofy once he’s comfortable. Max is very friendly and truly doesn’t know a stranger. Rub his belly and you’re his forever friend.

His past history is unknown, but he’s fully recovered from surgery to repair a broken leg and does great. He’s crate trained, playful, and full of personality. In the evenings, he loves to cuddle on the couch while watching TV.

Max is highly food-motivated and absolutely loves treats. I call him my pogo stick because he bounces straight up and down when he knows food is coming. His version of frisbee is to chew the disc until it won’t fly anymore, slip it around his neck, and sprint around the backyard like he’s won a race.

He’s currently having some issues with marking, which we’re hoping his neuter and a bit of additional training will resolve. With consistency and patience, he’ll do great. Belly bands will also help as well.

Max is playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. He’s the kind of dog who brings laughter, companionship, and a whole lot of heart into a home.
