Hi! My name is Cruiser. I am a Poodle mix and am around 16lbs and around 4 years old. I am an interstate traveler and have planted my paws in Texas as my final destination. I am fully vaccinated and neutered. I love car rides (obviously) and walk great onleash. I am house and crate trained. If you like to hike, jog, or walk, I am your boy. Playing with toys is my most funnest thing to do. I love to play with my FEMALE human peeps, also. I am a quirky little dude and have rules that you must follow in order for me to be your new BFF. I have a HUGE problem with men. This may be worked on (slowly) long term, but not even sure that will ever change. I don't like quick hand movements... and I will not shy away. I don't like you messing with my food while I am eating (and I bet you don't either). Having said all of that, once I trust you, I relax and am a fun boy. My temporary foster mom makes me keep 4-on-the-floor, and I follow that rule pretty well, unless I am play with my pup buds. This keeps me grounded (get it.. 4-on-the-floor / grounded.... hee hee) I love to play with other dogs... In relation to kids, those over 10 years old who understand appropriate interactions with a dog or who will not bother me. I am a really great dog for the right person/family. Lizzy's promises not to place me in a home unless the home agrees to follow all instructions from Lizzy's as this will ensure that I will be in the safest and best home. I would be a great apartment pup. I do need to be groomed every 3-4 months, and I do great with that, as long as it's with a PATIENT and FEMALE groomer. Otherwise my hair gets tangled and that hurts. Plus, I look like a wooly mammoth.... which makes it difficult for me to move. Bottom line is I need a FEMALE or family of FEMALES that are patient, understanding, and willing to give me time and a chance. I am looking for a foster or forever family of my very own.
