CRIMSON's Story
Crimson is a goofy, lovable boy with a soft heart and a big love for cuddles. With a medium energy level, he’s the perfect mix of playful and laid-back—happy to zoom around when first let out, then just as content settling in for a long nap right by your side.

This sweet guy adores pets and is a total cuddle bug. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but once he gets a chance to sniff and feel comfortable, he’s all in for affection, kisses, and quality time. Trust is important to Crimson, and as it grows, so does his confidence.

Crimson enjoys playtime and has a silly streak—he’ll chase a ball, pull on a rope toy, and even have fun following a laser pointer. He’s curious about new things, though sometimes that curiosity comes with a bit of uncertainty, and he may get scared easily. With patience and reassurance, he continues to gain confidence.

He is house trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go out, often heading to the door or refusing to go into his crate until he’s had a potty break. Crimson takes treats very gently and shows no food aggression. One thing to note is that he does not do well with cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home would be best.

Crimson isn’t a fan of being crated, but he does need to be crated when left alone, as he has a habit of getting into the trash. He may bark when he hears his people come home, though this is expected to improve as his trust and comfort continue to grow.

Affectionate, playful, and endlessly sweet, Crimson is ready to bring laughter, kisses, and cozy cuddles to a loving home willing to give him patience, structure, and plenty of love.

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
