CRICKET's Story

Cricket was abandoned on a busy road and took refuge on a porch of a very nice family who cared for her overnight until Animal Control was back on duty. She is super outgoing and friendly. She does not do well with other dogs and would be best as only dog. Cricket is high energy and would love hikes and long walks. Call us at the shelter 860-828-7055 and leave your name, address, phone and your Vets name & contact info. All adopters must have a current Vet reference from a Vet who knows them.

Friends of Berlin Animal Control, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We require a Veterinarian reference for adopting. All adopters must be over 25 years of age. Cats adoption fee is $85, Dogs are between $100-$150. Feral barn cats are waived the fee and include 1 month food. The adoption process can take 2-4 days to process from your inquiry until we can reach your vet and set up a meet & greet with you. We DO adopt out of state, but our preference is CT. If we have CT resident that applied and they have an outstanding Vet reference, they will be considered before out of state.
