Cricket's Story

Meet Cricket!

This handsome little dude is one of our bug puppies that was found abandoned in an apartment down in Philly when they were just one day old! It has been such a joy to watch him grow and thrive, and he is the nicest puppy! He's about 13 weeks old now (as of August 13th), and is doing wonderful!

Unfortunately, early on Cricket was found to have a heart murmur that we have since had reviewed by a cardiologist, and he has a congenital defect called pulmonic stenosis. He has a consultation the end of August down at the University of Pennsylvania, to look into a surgical option to repair his defect! The hope is, that with surgery it will improve his heart function to normal, and he can go on to live a normal and happy life! But anyone who is interested in him, should be aware of what is going on with his heart, and it may be something that requires some follow-up on his new owners and depending on his surgical outcomes at Penn.

Personality wise? You will hit the jackpot with Cricket! He has a fun and outgoing personality, and loves all people and other dogs! He's very respectful of adult dogs though, And can also be found quietly chewing a bone- he's the perfect combination of playful and also mellow. Cricket's initial workup and surgical repair for his heart will be covered as part of his adoption fee, plus his neuter, and being fully vaccinated! Please contact us today if you might be interested in this cute little fellow! Please don't let his heart defect deter you, he's going to make someone so happy and is so deserving of a wonderful home!

? All applicants must be able to show vet history for ALL resident pets (dogs AND cats). This means spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and a history of annual exams. Applications that do not meet these requirements will be denied.
? Our adoption radius is within one hour of Perkasie, PA.
? All vet care included with adoption (spay/neuter, microchip, and full series of core vaccinations) will be done at Pennridge Animal Hospital in Perkasie, so their adoptions will involve several visits to the hospital.
? We recommend not filling out the application on an iPhone, as it does not always go through. Please use a different device. You will receive a confirmation if your application was successfully submitted.

Apply to adopt: www.harleyshavendogrescue.com/adopt

Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue Perkasie, PA PA Lic #8332
