Meet Cricket
Hello world! My name is Cricket, and I am a sweet 3-1/2 year-old coonhound in search of my forever home.
I am a typical hound in many ways: I am laid back and not the in-your-face kissy type. My foster mom describes me as "pretty chill." I follow my nose everywhere, especially if it leads me to yummy treats, and I will sit and shake for them before taking them gently. I am housebroken, but I like privacy when I do my business, so I will need a physical fenced-in yard. My foster mom introduced me to this crate thing, and while I didn't love it at first, I now go in willingly and settle down for the night.
Even though I am a long-legged girl and weigh 70 pounds, I do not like other big dogs. I adore the small dog in my foster home and am uninterested in cats. I don't bother them and they don't bother me. I am good with children, as long as they are not intimidated by my size. I like to be with my humans as much as possible, and I would love to join a family that doesn't leave me alone for long periods of time. I may seem a little aloof at first when meeting new people, but I get attached quickly. I have so much love to give and will make a great companion.
Our adoption fee is $260 for dogs over 5 months of age and includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter, micro chip implantation and registration/transfer, heartworm test and much more. Puppies up to 5 months of age are $275 and this includes all sets of puppy vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip implantation and registration and more. To adopt, go to www.fosterpetoutreach.org to complete an application.
Please note: Foster Pet Outreach tries to limit our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois.
