Cranberry's Story

Meet Cranberry! Certified miracle pup. Professional zoomie enthusiast. Ready for her forever home.

Cranberry is a ~5 month old hound puppy who has already overcome more in her short life than most dogs ever will. She’s been with us since before Thanksgiving, arriving after being hit by a car with a complete tibia fracture. What could have been the end of her story became the beginning of something incredible.

Thanks to our amazing friends at Richmond Animal Care and Control, support from their Tommie Fund, and top-notch orthopedic care at Virginia Veterinary Centers, Cranberry received exceptional treatment, and today, she is fully healed and officially cleared for adoption ??

Now for the fun part... Cranberry is a TRUE puppy in every sense of the word. She is go go go, wildly curious, and wants to be involved in everything. She loves other dogs, though her enthusiasm can be a bit much for calmer pups. Cats? She’s definitely interested, and will nag and chase them, so management or a cat-savvy home is important.

The good news? She’s already:
-Potty trained
-Crate trained like a pro
-Extremely food motivated (training gold)

Now that her leg is healed, she’s ready to dive into puppy training, adventures, and finally getting to just be a dog.

Cranberry has waited patiently, healed bravely, and grown up in our care. She’s more than ready for a home that can keep up with her energy, continue her training, and give her the life she’s worked so hard to get. Cranberry is ready. Are you?
