Cranberry's Story

ID 59755928

Meet Cranberry! Honestly, this name is quite cute for this smaller breed gal that has a love for life, and would surely be a “life of the party gal” if she were a person. She has awesome coloring, a little stockier physique, but don’t let that fool you...she is packed with energy and determination.

Cranberry does not present well in her kennel. She is itching to get out, do some laps in the yard, play some tug, and find ways to keep herself engaged and in check. She recently went on a run with a shelter volunteer, and he stated, she could easily do a 5K. Cranberry does know sit, and she will excel with further training to keep her little mind working. She is strong on leash, so she is receiving some guidance to teach her manners which will pave her path for a new owner to keep guiding her along. She loves a Kong stuffed with treats and will bounce it around to gain access to those treats. She would be happy with great puzzles to keep her occupied.

Cranberry can let you know she is around when she wants to, but hey… we all have that one friend that has more to say than another. She also appears housebroken but an adjustment time will be needed in a new home.

Cranberry passed her initial dog/dog assessment but will need another dog to understand her play style as she can be a bit “bossy”. Overall, she might prefer a male canine companion, or a more submissive female.

The shelter is no place for a gal like Cranberry. She is looking for an active lifestyle, some guidance and training, and a comfy place to rest her head when her day is complete.
