Hi- my name is Cranberry! My sisters and I were turned into an overcrowded county shelter as an unwanted litter. Thankfully, the kind people at Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue heard about us and offered to take us in. They are now helping each of us find our very own families! I am about 4 months old and weighed in at 24 lbs at the end of December - I look like a Scottish terrier mix, best guess. I am an active puppy and will do best with a fairly active family. I am learning to walk on leash now; I just know we can work together to help me learn good manners and everything! My adoption fee of $450 includes all my vetting that has been done up to date. 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
