Cranberry's Story
Meet Cranberry!

40 lbs
3 years
Spayed female

Don’t let her soulful, puppy-dog eyes fool you—Cranberry has a whole lot of joy packed into that sweet face. This beautiful girl came from a neglect case after being left crated outdoors with a collar embedded in her neck. Despite such a heartbreaking start, Cranberry has proven herself to be incredibly resilient, loving, and ready to embrace the good life.

Cranberry adores her foster people and truly shines around other dogs. She loves bigger dogs and is currently learning how to play, discovering just how fun canine friendships can be. She is not a fan of small dogs, so a home with medium to large dog companions would be the best fit for her.

Because Cranberry spent much of her early life confined, many everyday skills are still new to her. Potty training has only begun in the last few weeks, and she’s doing remarkably well—she keeps her crate clean and is mostly house trained, with the occasional accident if her humans miss her quietly standing by the door. She is VERY food motivated, which makes her incredibly trainable and eager to learn.

She’s still learning the ropes when it comes to leash walking and can be strong and a bit jumpy at times, but with consistency (and snacks!), she continues to improve. Walks aren’t her favorite yet, but she’ll go along—sometimes begrudgingly—and gains confidence with each outing. She can be shy with new people at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through.

Cranberry has plenty of energy and would thrive in a home that offers patience, structure, and positive reinforcement. She’s still learning manners, especially around food, but her progress day by day is impressive.

Her neck bears a healing scar from her past, a reminder of where she’s been—but it doesn’t define her. Cranberry is a stunning, strong, and loving girl who embodies resilience and quiet joy, and she’s ready for a forever home that will show her the kindness she’s always deserved.

Interested in adopting?
