COWGIRL's Story
Cowgirl (A138849) is a 1-year-and-7-month-old AK Husky who weighed 40 pounds on intake! 01/26/26 This shy but friendly pup is Cowgirl! Cowgirl is back at the shelter and looking for her next adventure! She came from a sled dog background and would love to find her next team to join! She was said to be a great worker dog and previously ran in the swing position. Her lineage is from a distance running line and she loves to go, go, go! Her surrendering owner stated that her “come command” is “puppy puppy” and that she responds to great to it! Cowgirl was stated to be quite vocal and was the loudmouth of the kennel. However, if she was barking and her owner yelled her name, she would realize that she was talking a bit too much. She is a girl that has a lot to say! Cowgirl is used to living outside in a dog house. If you plan on transitioning her indoors, please be patient with her and understand that she will need help with all the basics. If you are interested in meeting Cowgirl, please let us know!
