Cowboy's Story

Meet handsome Cowboy!

Cowboy is one of those dogs who will quietly steal your heart. When he first arrived, he was calm and reserved, taking it all in with those thoughtful cattle dog eyes. Now that he’s settling in, his true personality is starting to bloom, and it’s a joy to watch.

This sweet boy is a total cuddlebug. Cowboy loves belly rubs, couch snuggles, and being close to his people. If being a Velcro Heeler were a sport, he’d be a champion. He’s happiest when he’s touching you in some way, whether that’s leaning against your leg or curling up beside you.

Cowboy is doing wonderfully with the basics. He walks well on a leash, is excellent in his crate, and even puts himself to bed when he’s ready to call it a night. Lately, he’s discovered the magic of toys and has decided that fetch is pretty fantastic, a significant milestone that shows just how comfortable and happy he’s becoming. He has been in foster with other dogs his size and has done well with them.

As the days go by, more of his cattle dog personality is shining through with just the right amounts of playful, curious, and goofy.

Cowboy is approximately 4 years old and has a docked tail.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He currently weighs 46 lbs and is taking heartworm and flea preventative.
