Cowboy's Story

Meet Cowboy! He’s an approximately 4 year old male Shepherd mix, with the coolest subtle hint of merle in his coat. So maybe some Collie or Aussie is in his gene pool somewhere… who knows? He’s sweet, social, affectionate and greets almost everyone with a very polite sit and a handshake. His foster mom says he’s the best foster dog she’s ever had, and she’s had a lot! He’s been well-behaved in the staff office (though he will steal snacks off the desk if given the chance… you’ve been warned), generally watches quietly out the window as people come and go, and can often be found sprawled on his back on his bed or in the doorway. He has made dog friends here and could live with or without another dog. He’s also been well-behaved around cats.

He is up to date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, is neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick prevention. He is Heartworm positive and due to start treatment soon (the cost will be covered by us). He will need to be exercise restricted until that treatment is completed, but should then be just fine.

If you think Cowboy could make a good addition to your family, call us at 845-687-7619 to set up an appointment to meet him.
