Cowboy is the best little dog! Im thinking four-ish. He’s been neutered, has his rabies and all shots, clear fecal. He’s on doxycycline now in preparation for heart worm treatment after which he’ll do rehab during his prison stay for the CARE Paws Prison Training Program. <br/>But I just can’t say enough good about him! He’s freaking adorable, a little low rider, biggish head, long body, short legs. He gets along great with all my crew and Fussy Britches is sometimes.....well, a little fussy, Cowboy just ignores him totally. As long as he has a soft chair he’s fine or his crate, he’ll go lay in his crate just as easily, but he does really love a chair or couch. His personality is easy going, he’s a Little skittish until he realizes he’s safe, he LOVES being petted and having stomach rubs. He learned the doggie door pretty quickly, hasn’t had any accidents inside, is crate trained, knows to sit, doesn’t jump up on you, he’s really a good boy.<br/>We did have a hard time getting him to eat and taking his doxy was a nightmare but we just crush it up now, that solved that. He also Finally started eating his hard food. <br/>He doesn’t do cats, he had a sleep over and the family LOVED him, he did great with the kids, he was perfect EXCEPT he went after the cat. We actually thought he was afraid of cats but nope, that wasn’t the case. So no cats. <br/>He’ll bark with the other dogs sometimes but is not an excessive barker, he usually stays inside and lets the beagles sing . <br/>He and Gypsy did argue over a squeaky toy but it didn’t last long, Gypsy rules. <br/>So getting ready for heart worm treatment, then will wear the ball and chain for six weeks and receive basic training, and then be ready to go to his furever home! <br/>If interested in this wonderful boy please go to our website and put in an application! <br/>www.covingtonanimalrescueeffort.com
