Cowboy's Story

*Our longest resident of Animal Protective Foundation*

Cowboy (or "Cow", as his friends call him) is truly one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. He has a gentle heart and a calm presence that makes you feel loved just by being near him.

He's incredibly loyal - the kind of dog who chooses his person and loves them with his whole heart. Cow loves curling up on the couch between foster mom and dad, watching movies, enjoying a few squeaky toys and trotting happily around the yard. He enjoys simple joys: short walks, chasing falling leaves, and just being close to the people he cares about.

He is patiently waiting for his best friend - someone who wants a loving companion by their side. If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly, tender-hearted pup to share your life with Cowboy is ready to fill that role with all the love he has to give. Please call the APF to schedule a time to meet with Cowboy.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process.
